Purple is the first book in The Dragon of Unison Trilogy.
The story starts as the Long night (Unisons winter) is ending.Sereh (a young serving girl) is sent out on an unpleasant errand and is trapped in a terrible snow storm. Miraculously surviving the storm she decides this is her chance to escape her master, as he would think her dead. As she is wandering lost through the snow covered mountain she finds Erann,a friend from her childhood, colapsed in the snow. The story goes through one or the other of them leaving but they always end up back together again as they realise they are falling in love. However Erann has a secret and as much as he wishes, he can't tell Sereh.

The same events are told over from three different views. That of Erann, Sereh and Greeneyes. Each telling adds extra details and helps the story all fall into place.

This is not for hardcore fantasy fans. No swords, shades or undead here.
I loved the story it was an easy pleasant read and I was drawn into the world of Unison immediately. The description of the surroundings and living conditions were so good I could feel myself there.
I don't over analyse books, I read to be taken away somewhere else and this book did it beautifully.

Can't wait to get started on Blue!

Blue: Book two in The Dragon of Unison Trilogy.

Loving this series! I'm being totally drawn into the world of Unison.
Sometimes I find myself shouting at Sereh "why are you always so stubborn".
Erann manages to get himself trapped in a sort of limbo and needs Sereh and Greeneyes to save him yet again. This time they will also need the help of the Librarian.
Flashbacks fill in important information on who people are and more of their personal stories and why things are as they are on Unison.
The story is perfectly paced and all the characters are so likeable.

Bring on Green!! What scrapes will Erann need saving from this time?

Green: Book Three in The Dragon of Unison Trilogy.

I've really come to like the way the story is retold by two or three different perspectives. It gives light to how each person was feeling as the events were happening. Also gives extra little insights that each person observed that maybe one of the others didn't.
Emma is taken back in time to witness her younger self and some drastic events that shaped her life. Can she do anything to change these events and stop a tradgedy occurring?
I can't say much about the story line because anything I write will be a spoiler. There is so much happening as everyone moves forward to a new future.Although there is no real hint as to what this might entail yet.
During the story more of the past is revealed explaining how the dragons and humans came to live apart and the rules of their continued existence.
Sereh becomes a little love struck and I was worried she was going to lose her high-spiritedness. But it wasn't long before she was off again getting herself into trouble.
It was good to see a little evil coming from Rankil in this book. I really need to have good reason to dislike the villian in a story.
The only thing wrong with this book ( and I have to say it didn't really worry me that much but I know some people can get very annoyed by this) was all the mistakes. She instead of the, must instead of much. There were alot of them.

However on a great note the Trilogy has now turned into a Series with book 4 Red now available. Yeay!!!
