Romance Readers Reading Challenges discussion

If you like the Read-the-Month challenge, but is having problems with the multiple-lettered months? If you like to take your time, and prefer a slower pace?

Read-the-Season Challenge follows the same format as our popular Read-the-Month Challenge, except that you have a whole season to finish 6 books plus a bonus one.

Here is the timeline:

Winter - December 21, 2009 - March 19, 2010
Spring - March 20, 2010 - June 20, 2010
Summer - June 21, 2010 - September 22, 2010
Autumn - September 23, 2010 - December 21, 2010

READ-THE-SEASON AUTUMN CHALLENGE
Duration: September 23, 2010 - December 21, 2010

Rules are simple. Using the word AUTUMN, pick a book title or author (first or last name) that begins with the letters in the chosen season.

Bonus: Read a book that has the word AUTUMN in its title.

Totally in! This is one of my favorite challenges! And it's 3+ months so the pressure is off! But damn, do I hate U's.

Wow! Two U books...I need to figure out if I have something with 'U' on my TBR that would work...

ETA: Yikes! Nothing with U! I'll check back when people have posted their lists to see if I can steal two 'U' books.

@ D.G. The first two Stacia Kane books will work if you haven't read them yet: Unholy Ghosts and Unholy Magic. All of MJ Davidson's Queen Betsy books start with Undead and _____. Lisa Unger's Beautiful Lies is a pretty good suspense book with a little bit of romance thrown in the mix. I'll probably read another one of her books. Stephanie Rowe has a book called Unbecoming Behavior which is a quick, light read. I'll see if I can think of any more.

Well, it looks like fun especially since 1 of my favorite books, which isn't listed so far, is a "U" book -- "Until You" by Judith McNaught! I've read it about 5 times and will be easy to get through 1 more time. And the bonus is a book I have recently acquired, "It Happened One Autumn" by Lisa Kleypas. It sounds as if I'm on my way. My first challenge here. Should be fun.

Thanks Daffodil! I did a search and all of Queen Betsy's books came up so I'll give her a try...I'll also check the other books you recommended!

That's the way I feel to Danielle, but I always add more :)

Sounds intriguing. A lot of rarely used letters. I only found 4 books in my to-be-read pile and 2 were the same letter! Although waiting until 9/23 might make me forget about the challenge before I can start.
