I'm a freelance writer/instructor currently living in north-central British Columbia. I also enjoy playing video games (particularly RPGs and tactics games like Fire Emblem as well as the Mario/Kirby games), reading, hiking, taking care of animals, and shopping (on occasion). I would love to someday be able to make a full (or nearly full) living purely from writing fiction, but at least I'm fortunate enough to be able to work as a writer at all at this point.

Hmmm.... toughie because I don't read a lot of 'couple' books XD.

Stand-outs though for me (growing up) was Vanyel and Stefan (Mercedes Lackey) because that was my first real exposure to a gay couple (deliberate partially I'm sure on the part of my mom, ha ha).

I'm currently reading Newbury and Hobbes and while Sir Maurice Newbury and Veronica Hobbes aren't a couple (yet), they have an awesome partnership that is really amazing to see, especially how they hold each other up and lean on each other while still being very independent. This really speaks to me.

OH and Sunstone graphic novels have just fantastic couples all the way around. Allison and Lisa of course, but also Alan and anyone he gets with ha ha.

I don't have single favorites is what we can take away from this XD(less)

I usually go to my notes and write through-in note form-what my plot should look like and pick out where I went wrong. A hot shower and coffee helps quite a bit too. If all else fails, exercise and a good night's sleep.(less)

It's so Strange....

I've been doing book signings over the last couple of days. Just a few mind you-mostly for Patrick's work buddies who bought the book and then wanted author signage (goodness knows why!) It's such a strange feeling to hold my first book as is and then it's compounded by signing the silly thing. I'm thinking that I should have a book signing event for Glass Slipper Conspiracy; at least then I can s Read more of this blog post »

If John Constantine was female and queer and lived in New York, that would be an ok place to start wrapping one's head around this book.

It's very gritty, very gory, and uses a lot of 10 dollar words. I felt like the ending was weirdly rushed and skat
