Nicole M. Hewitt is a middle grade author living in the Chicago suburbs with her husband, three grown kids, and three overly-enthusiastic pups. She hates to run, but she succeeded in finishing a marathon. (It was for a good cause!) She enjoys nature but doesn’t see nearly enough of it in Illinois, so her family travels as often as possible. She also loves to sing and can often be heard spontaneously composing incredibly profound songs about the fluffiest members of her family (the dogs, in case you weren’t sure). Her debut middle grade novel in verse, THE SONG OF ORPHAN’S GARDEN, will be releasing January 21st, 2025.

UnWholly by Neal Shusterman
"So . . . I stayed up all night to finish this book. I was completely useless the next day, but I regret nothing. That ending is awesome.

UnWholly picks up about a year after where Unwind left off. Connor, Lev, and Risa have gotten the world to pay att" Read more of this review »

Shortly after arriving at UCLA, Wes' life imploded. Now, two years later, he was getting his second chance. His second chance to go to college, play ball, and to win Liz's heart.

“She thought of ... the way he never made made her feel crazy, even when she was acting crazy, and never made her feel like a failure, even when she was failing.”
Rainbow Rowell, Landline

Rainbow Rowell
“You don't know when you're twenty-three.
You don't know what it really means to crawl into someone else's life and stay there. You can't see all the ways you're going to get tangled, how you're going to bond skin to skin. How the idea of separating will feel in five years, in ten - in fifteen. When Georgie thought about divorce now, she imagined lying side by side with Neal on two operating tables while a team of doctors tried to unthread their vascular systems.
She didn't know at twenty-three.”
Rainbow Rowell, Landline

Neal Shusterman
“Stupid dreams. Even the good ones are bad, because they remind you how poorly reality measures up.”
Neal Shusterman, Unwind

“I'd rather be partly great than entirely useless.”
Neal Shusterman, Unwind

Neal Shusterman
“Which is worse, Risa often wondered, to have tens of thousands of babies that no one wanted or to silently make then go away before they were even born”
Neal Shusterman, Unwind

Happy to "meet" you!!

C. (Comment, never msg). My pleasure to start knowing you, Nicole! I am Carolyn in Manitoba. Illinois isn't so far away. If you love sharing reviews, I think you would enjoy my blog's four reading themes. I scarcely call them "challenges" because they are highly relaxed, with the option for conversation and play as much as we wish. Their year starts tomorrow, February 1. :) https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/headqu...

Ha! I'm so glad to hear that! My kids aren't old enough to be reading most of the books I read yet, but I always think that when they are, I would appreciate someone telling me about the content. That's why I've always included it in my reviews. Glad to hear that it's actually helped someone! Too bad I haven't read They All Fall Down! LOL!

☆Joycedale☆ I didn't realize how much I relied on Feed Your Fiction Addiction reviews until I won a copy of They All Fall Down by Roxanne St. Claire My daughter asked to read and my husband asked if its a book I need to read first. I said let me see if Nicole's read it, she always says if there's sex shown lol.
