Bowser
Welcome to the official IGN Wiki Guide and Walkthrough for Mario Golf Super Rush on Nintendo Switch. In this section, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Bowser.
As you'd probably expect, Bowser brings some jaw-dropping power. That's balanced out with terrible speed and low control. Let's take a look at his stat break down.
Bowser
Bowser can do a ton of damage off of the tee. His game can start to fall about after that, especially in speed golf, but you can work around it.
- Power - 228 yards: Bowser might not have the most power, but he's just behind King Bob-omb. This means you can really attack longer holes with the big man.
- Stamina - 12/15 hearts: This stamina score makes up for his low speed.
- Speed - 6/10: Unsurprisingly, Bowser's speed is quite poor.
- Control - 6/10: With all of that power, Bowser has to lose some control. Expect to see his shots hit hard by shift.
- Spin - 2/10: Bowser's low starting spin means you won't be shaping many shots until you unlock his new club sets.
Bowser's Special Shot
Like several other power characters, Bowser uses his Meteor Strike to sky his ball into the air and then slam it down onto the course. This sends out a shockwave that knocks aside any balls near his.
The shot can also be used to get over most hazards, paving the way for easier shots. That said, the real way to use this is to force your opponents into tough shots or knock them away from an easy putt.
Bowser's Club Sets
Bowser unlocks new club sets at 1,000 and 3,000 Character Points respectively. Each set of clubs upgrades his power by 30 yards each and sees him lose a bit of control to gain more spin. Those added spin bars can be used to better shape shots, making up for the lack of control.
Getting Character Points is as easy as playing the game with Bowser. The better you do on a course, the more points you'll receive. For example, on a three-hole course, you'll get 60 points for sinking three birdies and only 30 points for three pars. In total, it took us about 200 holes on average to unlock both sets while just playing normally.
