Variant of Chain Chomp

Frame Chomps are enemies that appear in Yoshi's Woolly World and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World, having a different yet similar appearance to that of normal Chain Chomps. If Yoshi is near them, they will follow and attempt to bite him. Yoshi can turn them to Chomp Rocks if he hits them with a yarn ball, which will cause the yarn to envelop on the Frame Chomp in the depicted color, turning it solid and incapable of movement by itself. They can be restored to normal Frame Chomps if Yoshi unties the ribbon on top of the Chomp Rocks with his tongue. Frame Chomps are capable of jumping up ledges, so Yoshi can exploit such to utilize its Chomp Rock form in normally inaccessible areas.

Frame Chomps can only be found in a level called Walk the Chomp to Unwind. While most of them are invincible, Yoshi is able to defeat the last Frame Chomp encountered. If the enemy is lured near the goal ring and Yoshi jumps into the ring, the Frame Chomp will vanish and yield several small beads.
