Saved games from version 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 are compatible and you can continue your journey in version 1.5.3
Many 1.5.x addons should work with 1.5.3 but in a few cases they’ll need to be updated to be compatible with 1.5.3
When new Anomaly updates are released, addons might break or cause crashes. It's the addon authors responsibility to update their addons.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly is a fan-created modification for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games by GSC Game World. It is not an official product of GSC Game World and is a derivative work based on their original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
A full change log is included in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly 1.5.3 download.

The main change in v1.5.3, apart from some bug fixes and new features for addons, is to follow the GSC Game World Fan Content Creation Guidelines.
One of the most popular changes in Anomaly 1.5.x is the addition of a 3D PDA.
When holding the PDA in the lowered position, stalkers can track their position on the map while walking around. This will make it easier to navigate towards map markers like hidden stashes or mission objectives.
And to interact with the PDA it can be held closer to your eyes so it will fill almost the whole screen and the text on it is more readable. If you prefer the old style 2D PDA we even added an option to switch back to it, but real stalkers would not do that.
"Lost to the Zone" Storylines has been added to 1.5 update, with its three installations:
Part 1: Living Legend: a famous stalker has returned to the Zone. Pursue him in order to obtain his invaluable knowledge.
Part 2: Mortal Sin: a sinister faction emerges from obscurity to take over the Zone. You are among the few who can stop them.
Part 3: Operation Afterglow: the Zone attracts a lot of attention. However, some people believe that its many secrets are best kept hidden.
And the new bonus story:
Part 4: Hollow Boundaries: play as a member of a foreign force to investigate and reveal the secrets of the Zone.
Additionally, you're free to assist your faction and complete their questlines.
The majority of quests will offer info about your targets before accepting, in addition to new types of quests to keep the player busy.
Every stage of the storylines will unlock a bonus faction for the player. A new set of achievements have been added to game as well.
Every single level has been reworked to help convey the feeling of an overgrown, relatively undisturbed Zone. The weather system is improved and expanded to offer variety and atmospheric feel.
Shaders and visual effects have received major improvements, such as the new gasmask with nice refractions, cracks react to light and raindrops. In addition to better tone mapping, water reflections, new wet surface shaders and more.
The A-Life received major changes. For a start, stalkers travel more frequently and report their activity in the other parts of the Zone.
The Zone is constantly changing, so are the anomalies and mutants. Dynamic world items are everywhere around you, even in places you might not expect. Each playthrough will carry something different for you to look for. Explore the Zone, and you might find something nice during your journey.
Special characters and common stalkers offer more unique tasks, along with expanded dialogue. Stalkers can sell and buy items from traders, or even visit local mechanics to upgrade their favorite weapons. In addition: Loners, Mercs and a few others can offer escort services for a fee. Many special characters also have connections around the Zone: you can offer them a payment to bribe an enemy faction, temporarily preventing them from attacking on sight.
The disguise system has improved. Your equipment and behavior affects the way stalkers observe and remember you. And a new experimental feature will make stealth kills more viable to kill enemies sneakily.
Your rank and reputation counts. Exceptionally high or low values respectively will attract attention, possibly even from your enemies...

Inside of this mod is a fix specifically to be used with UDE 1.9.0, this is not the whole mod, its just a really simple overlooked fix for the mod.
I would appreciate some help with a consistent crash I am getting anytime I attempt to interact with weapon stacks stored in my Rostock stash, this only happens with the F2000 and the FN FNC, the error log shows this error every time
FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : <no expression>
[error]Function : CScriptEngine::lua_pcall_failed

I did manage to move them to my backpack on a couple of occasions (after many crashes while attempting to) hoping I could then drop them somewhere but the game would then crash with the same error anytime I tried to drop them, I’m not running any mods, if anyone knows of a fix or how to get rid of them that would be great, thanks
Your mod doesn't even work. After I start the new game, chose my loadout, on the loading screen it simply crashes without any error whatsoever. I tried to search for my problem in google and on reddit in one posts it says to look in xray.log file for the reason of error and why the game crashed. And so I did. I found that god damn xray.log file and this is the reason for why it crashed:
FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : D3DXCreateTexture( HW.pDevice, top_width,top_height, levels_exist,0,t_dest_fmt, (RImplementation.o.no_ram_textures ? D3DPOOL_DEFAULT : D3DPOOL_MANAGED), &t_dest )

So, can somebody explain to me, what does it even mean??? Why in the hell this mod crashes on me anyway?
Congrats for being no.1, btw is there a mod to speed run much faster because wild animals kill me repteadly?
wtf is this question xD
Speed running doesn't allow you to modify the game or the mod list x)
I have been using that thing on 'Tom Clancy\'s Ghost Recon' since it runs on DX8, but as I also use DX8 on 'Anomaly' then I thought, why not give it a try; heard it helps boost performance. The trick is called 'D3D8TO9' (https://github.com/crosire/d3d8to9/releases).
It is a "driver-like" API translator or something. You throw that file in where your game \.EXE is. If you are using WINE, make sure to hit "winecfg" in the terminal and in the "Libraries" tab set "d3d8" override for "native then builtin".

Why in gaming community nobody admitting the fact, that STALKER 2 is simply a ripoff of all modders work and ideas of STALKER ANOMALY ?
if it was a ripoff of anomaly it would have been a lot better
You realize you're talking about a CoC fork right? By your logic, your holy grail Anomaly is a ripoff too. It wouldn't have existed without the ideas and work of CoC developers. Not to mention, its lifeline is fanmade addons, AKA other modders' work.
What a laughable comment, calling STALKER 2 a ripoff. This is coming from someone who has BIG issues with STALKER 2 by the way. You made even me defend it.
You're literally everywhere
Because it isn't?
Does "ripoff" not apply only to proprietary stuff?
