Veneer presses are used for the laminating various materials such as veneer, laminate, aluminium or compsites to sheet materials or doors. We have a large range of sizes for different applications. They have a strong welded structure with single or multiple moving plattens that closes and apply a surface pressure whilst the material is bonded.
Veneer presses are available in different tonnage thrust to give correct surface area pressure. The amount of specific area pressure required depends on materials being used.
In larger volume production our presses can be incorporated into a through feed production line. Modern presses have PLC computer controls giving simpler calculation of pressure needed, avoiding over pressing and ultimately damage to work and press. The P series are hot or cold presses with automatic loading, pressing and unloading of the panels. Thanks to years of experience in designing and developing continuous presses for the wood industry, ITALPRESSE now offers a huge range of models with specific features designed to meet different production requirements for the wood, plastics and metal-working industries. The most common application involves gluing a coating (veneer, lamina, paper, melamine, PVC, etc.) onto a substratum (MDF, hardboard, plywood, hollow panels, blockwood, etc.). This method is used to make panels for furniture, walls, floors, doors, etc. The basic configuration of the pressing line is comprised of a feed belt, an automatic press and a discharge deck. This configuration can be completed with numerous optionals, such as glue spreaders, polishers, automatic feeders, disk, roller or belt conveyors, automatic assembling stations, panel turners and stackers. Lines with various degrees of automation can be supplied right up to fully automatic lines that do not require direct intervention by the operator. Presses come in various sizes and with various powers/pressures, with closing from above or below, and longitudinal or transversal infeed. They can be configured at will thanks to a large number of optional devices that can be used to adapt the press to your personal requirements. High manufacturing accuracy is guaranteed by superior-quality mechanical components and numerous NC machining processes.
