Serrated Back Cutter Block for mech feed moulding machines with 60° serrations. For profile moulding with serrated back knives. Available for mechanical feed on moulders or in a chip-limitation version for use on spindles and other manually-fed machines. A profile depth of up to 35mm can be obtained.

Hardening is closely controlled, especially on the taper and face features to provide the correct surface hardness along with a high core strength. Tapers and faces are precision ground on CNC controlled grinding machines and measured with calibrated inspection fixtures to ensure all HSK taper features are within prescribed tolerances. The tool blade clamping features are machined on a 5 axis CNC machine using the ground taper and centres as a location to ensure the minimum radial run out. Blade clamps are precision machined and hardened using a Tufftride process to reduce any wear. Each tool holder is individually dynamically balanced in two planes to G2.5 @ 12,000 rpm and is provided with a certificate of conformance. Each tool holder is individually packed in its own tube. Labelling and marking on the tool holder confirms balance and allows full traceability. Each tool holder is supplied with a set of blade clamps and special clamping screws. The ends of the tool holders are permanently marked to show direction of rotation and the maximum safe protrusion of the blade.
