Faculty Growth and Development Plan

This form should be completed as a means of setting goals in each area where the faculty member intends to grow, improve or be
particularly active. According to the schedule agreed upon, the faculty member will assess his/her progress with the dean or associate
dean. Include any anticipated professional development opportunities in the appropriate goal setting area. The supervisor may request

I. Teaching

Proposed Plan
Teach Literacy Foundations and Standards, 7-12, using innovative and researchbased practices in the area of theoretical and pedagogical skills, appropriate
assessment and instructional decisions, and solid grounding in five essential
components of literacy and the Common Core State Standards. Use student
feedback from course evaluations to make necessary changes to the course.

Teach Building Classroom Communities using innovative and research-based


practices in the area of classroom environment, behavior, and learning. Use student
feedback from course evaluations to make necessary changes to the course.

Teach Communication and Community using innovative and research-based


practices in the area of a variety of communication channels utilized throughout the
school environment. Use student feedback from course evaluations to make
necessary changes to the course.

Co-teach with Melanie Maxwell professional development sessions and Methods


and Strategies of a Literacy Leader in the MNPS-Lipscomb Literacy Partnership.
Use feedback from the coaches' and students' session/course evaluations to make
necessary changes to the model and course.
Teach other classes as assigned.

Serve as academic adviser to the Collaborative and Professional Learning Specialty


M.Ed. students. Interview candidates for the CPL program. Facilitate the online
orientation and graduation seminar courses for the CPL students.

and Coaching Exchange newsletters
