    Miss Albrights Class News

    September 18, 2015


    Announcements:
    Dot Day is Tuesday,
    September 22nd. Children are
    encouraged to wear dotty
    clothes.
    Fall Picture Day will be on
    Thursday, September 24th.
    On September 30th first grade
    students will take a walking
    field trip to the Auburn
    Public Library. Please send
    your child to school in his or
    her Dean Road t-shirt.
    Our next PTO meeting is
    Monday, October 5th. First
    grade students will perform.
    DRES restaurant night at
    McAllisters is Tuesday,
    October 6th.
    Parent conference day is
    Thursday, October 15th.
    Fall break is October 15th -16th.
    There is no school for
    students on these days.

    A Peek at Our Week


    Reading/Language Arts: This week we will be
    reviewing unit one in our Wonders reading
    series. On Friday we will take our unit one test.
    This test will cover all sight words as well as
    phonics, grammar, and comprehension skills
    that we have learned this year.
    Math: This week we are continuing addition
    and subtraction with numbers 0-10. We are
    using different strategies to solve addition and
    subtraction word problems.
    Social Studies: We are learning about wants
    and needs.
