Sweet, the widow of Daniel Shaver, and Mr. Shavers and Ms. Sweets minor children Natalie

Sweet and Emery Sweet (hereafter, collectively, the Victims) in this matter. The firm of

Baskin Richards PLC will be joined as counsel for the Victims by the Los Angeles, California

27

firm of Geragos & Geragos and its attorneys Mark Geragos and Ben Meiselas, who will be

seeking pro hac vice admission.

Laney, Natalie and Emery Sweet are all victims of the Defendant Phillip Mitchell
Brailsford as defined under Arizona Constitution, art. 2, 2.1 (the Arizona Victims Bill of
Rights), as well as under A.R.S. 13-4401(19) and all associated Arizona victims rights
statutes and law. The Victims are entitled to appear and participate in accordance with the
Arizona law guaranteeing rights to victims of crimes. Most immediately, the Victims intend to
file, as victims and interested parties, an objection to the Minute Entry of the Court filed on
March 29, 2016 entering a joint protective order regarding the Axon body camera evidence.
The Victims intend to also object to the underlying Joint Motion for Protective Order Pursuant
to Rule 15.5 filed March 25, 2016, which was not, and is not, approved by the Victims or filed
for their benefit.
