Cognitive: Students will develop their cognitive skills by solving a multiplication problem after
scoring a point in game.
Affective: Students will develop their Affective skills by verbally communicating positive
sportsmanlike words like good game to build self-esteem.
Psychomotor: Students will develop their psychomotor skills by throwing the ball itself, Gripping
it, and catching using their refined muscles in their hands.
Description of Lesson: Keep Away: The game starts with 7 players on 2 two teams against one
another. One team of 7 players start off with the ball and will have to keep the ball away from
the other team for at least a minute by using skills like passing, running, dribbling, and
communication. In order to score a point the team must either intercept the ball or hold the ball
for at least a minute to score. You can also obtain the ball by blocking it but you will not receive
a point.
Modifications:
Disabled students:
Student In wheelchair will conduct the score of the game by using a scoreboard and keeping
time of the match.
Student with down syndrome will hand ball to the players in the game if out of bounds and
collect ball when the ball is out of play to make the games go faster.
Inclement weather:
The Game of handball is generally played inside so the weather should not be a problem.
