The Course Syllabus of IT Architecture Foundation 101 – 4 Days
The IT Architecture Foundations 101 provides a high level overview of the skills that the
worldwide IASA community has found to be essential to every practicing IT Architect. The skills
are separated into five foundational capability areas, with four areas of specialization. The course
presents how the IT Architect operates in an enterprise as a technology strategist, with morning
lecture and team-based case study in the afternoon.
In Day 1, there is an overview of the five foundational pillars, and then the Human Dynamics and
IT Environment pillar are explored. Day 2 covers Design Skills and Day 3 covers Quality
Attributes. In Day 4 covers Business Technology strategy with a review of all the pillars and
discussion of next steps.
Training Objectives
The Foundation level of certification applies to individuals who are familiar with introductory
concepts in IT Architecture.
