Sports development providers interact with the sports development

schemes, they aim to give everyone involved in sport the opportunity
to achieve goals and reach their potential no matter what age,
ability, gender, ethnicity or background. There are various types and
levels of providers, these include national organisations, local
authorities, governing bodies, voluntary organisations, the private
sector and professional provides.

Each sports development providers all have a structure to help keep

organised and ensure they can continue their work effectively, staff
should follow and refer to when delivering a programme. By having a
structure it give the organisation authority, defines the roles and
gives it more links to outside organisations. There are four major
styles that most organisations try to keep in their structures, a
committee, a working group, forums and consultation groups.

A committee usually consists of a chair person (higher authority

than other committee members), treasurer and a secretary. There
may be groups that also have a child protection officer.
