MELBOURNE METROPOLITAN GOLF COURSES


Six of Australias top 10 courses are situated in Melbournes south-east sand belt corridor. These courses are recognised in Australia and internationally as among the finest in the world. The gem of the sand belt is Royal Melbourne, rated as Australias number one and is among the top 10 courses in the world designed by the great golf architect, Alister MacKenzie. These private sandbelt courses can be accessed by two methods: If you have membership with a club in your own country and it has reciprocal rights with one of the private courses OR you could contact either one of the golf tour operators listed for access to these courses. The resort itself boasts its own accommodation, activities including tennis, swimming, spa and sauna and resort golf courses. Just a stroke outside Melbourne, on the nearby Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas, are top quality courses that offer coastal views and a calming ambience. Further along the coast of the Great Ocean Road, visitors can practise their grip side by side with resident kangaroos at the Anglesea Golf Club.
