    EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
    The Objective behind choosing the topic IMPACT OF WTO AGREEMENT ON INDIAN AGRICULTURE for the project report is to know about the agreement on agriculture. Trade in agriculture got its due recognazation under WTO. Increase in market access by agreement on agriculture was supported through tariff reduction, export subsidies, domestic support. The Aim of project report is to know the policy reforms of agreement on agriculture. The changes taking place in agriculture sector, the present & future scenario of agriculture sector. The AOA under WTO was expected to liberalize trade in agriculture. Developing countries opened up there markets more than rich countries. Liberal trade in food grains was to eliminate problems associated with food securities. Developing countries will find it very difficult to open up there markets as expected by WTO as they fear of developed countries may sell there agricultural products at low price by subsidizing them. Such a situation may create serious economic problems for small & marginal farmers of the poor countries. The project report includes trade reform policies, Indias commitments, issues of intrest to developing countries, imbalances in agreement, reduction of subsidies, proposals for modalities. Liberal trade approach under WTO has its positive impact. However both developed & developing economies require to adhere to the principles of AOA under WTO to promote trade in agriculture. Greater co-operation from the advanced countries is essential to have an increased market Access for agricultural goods

    OBJECTIVES
    To study literature with reference to WTO. To assess certain agreements of WTO like TRIPS, TRIMS. To conduct impact of WTO agreement on Indian agriculture & production. To make interpretation of WTO & its impact on Indian Economy. To know about policy reforms, policy initiatives & changes in agriculture sector. To know about the present & future scenario of WTO agreement on agriculture.

    RESEARCH METHODLOGY
    The Methodology has been used for the collection of data regarding impact of WTO agreement on Indian agriculture. The project report does not include primary research. Whereas secondary research includes various books, journals, websites & Emagazines.
