Maybe a teams lack of

.N. Brown and Laning Elementary students were treated to an indoor performance of Renaissance Revisited as part of
the Renaissance Faire festivities at F.N.
Browns auditorium on Thurs., April 16. The
story is about a modern day girl getting lost in
time and having an adventure as she gets back
to the present.
The Medieval theme was tied in with this
years book, Kenny and The Dragon (by Tony
DiTerlizzi) for One District, One Book-a program which all Verona Elementary students
read a chapter every night and participated in a
daily blog. The Renaissance Faire was also
performed at Forest Elementary with
Brookdale Elementary school present on Fri.,
April 17.
One District, One Book was made possible
through the generous efforts of Corisa Walker
and Katey McAuliffe, Verona elementary
media specialists, on receiving the largest grant

ots of people enjoy watching "Wheel of Fortune"
on television and imagining what it would be like
to walk away the big winner. Now, Lisa Joseph of
West Orange doesn't have to imagine anymore.
Last December she flew out to California where the
show is filmed in studio. The air date was Feb. 24 of this
year and millions of people watched as she wheeled her
way to the bonus round and then won it.
This 26-year-old hadn't planned on doing this, it started out as kind of a whim.
"Well first I just signed up online, the Wheel Watchers
Club. Then I got this random email telling me that they
were having auditions in New York and asking if I'd want
to try out," said Lisa. She decided to go for it. First she had
to send in a one minute audition video online. Then she
received a live audition in NYC. When asked what the
auditions were like she said "You do a couple of rounds
like it would be on the show. They are looking to see if
you watch the show and know the rules. Since I watch the
show, it was pretty easy for me."
Lisa also does acting on the side, between her other two
jobs, so that helped her to be comfortable and at ease. She
has a very friendly and likable demeanor which must have
come through at the tryouts, because a little while later she
received an email and a letter asking her to be on the show.

armers markets provide visitors with a window to see
into the world of the people and places that grow our
farm foods, baked goods, artisans chesses, local
honey and hand crafted products.
Once considered more of a novelty, farmers markets
today provide consumers with an alternative to traditional
grocery markets, specialty food stores and unique gift
shops. Visitors to local farmers markets can purchase locally grown and made items all with the convenience of one
stop shopping.
Different farmers, bakers, craftsmen and unique shop
owners come together in an outdoor market that showcases
everything local and homemade, handmade and locally
grown.
Farmers markets expose consumers to different seasonal foods and products. They offer more than typical supermarket or gift shop products and often include herbs, plants,
cut flowers, eggs, homemade specialty items such as jam
and jelly, baked items and local honey. Farmers markets
generally open in the spring and stay opened until the holidays. Each season brings new offerings.
When farmers markets open in the spring, they provide
consumers with fresh, locally grown produce, homemade
baked goods, prepared meals, soups and hand crafted items
that many have anticipated all winter. Their garden offerings are plentiful providing consumers with an exceptional
tant to support local growers and its better for our environment. Stop by and explore your local outdoor market today,
you may be surprised what you find and what you learn.

into the holes. The holes are then plugged and sealed
with new concrete.
Termiticides are designed with agents allowing them
to bond with the soil and remain intact. The potency
could remain in the ground for seven to ten years or
longer. One of the concerns with this type of treatment is
that the barrier needs to be continuous surrounding the
foundation to be effective. Any break in this barrier and
termites may infiltrate the structure. A termite only needs
an opening of 1/32 of an inch in mortar or concrete to
enter a structure.
Another concern is the toxicity of the chemicals.
Termite treatments on properties with wells or cisterns
have a specific set of regulations and rules due to the toxicity of these treatments. The other thing is that these
chemical treatments do not address the termite colony,
therefore, may not be affected.
We use a better way to address "Termites and their
Colonies" without the heavy toxicity of the traditional
methods of trenching and mixing termiticide.
Our treatment is a "Termite Baiting System". We lure
the termites to our in-ground bait stations with a wood
by-product that attracts the termites and then treat that
area with a chemical as needed.
The first step is to install our baiting stations around
