This curriculum example was provided by Mount Clear College in 2013.
Mount Clear College is a large coeducational secondary college south of the city of
Ballarat, with an enrolment of approximately 1180 students.
The school caters for students with a broad range of interests and abilities, and offers
the Select Entry Accelerated Learning program (SEAL), Specialist Performing Arts
program and Applied Learning programs. Science and mathematics are a particular
focus, reinforced by the Specialist Mathematics and Science Centre. A Specialist
Language Centre also supports the teaching and learning of Languages.
Comprehensive ICT facilities are seen as central to student learning. The college has a
focus on improving teaching and learning practices, and building teacher capacity.
