Functions:
Pressing either, the TIME button, or the FUNCTION button will turn on the UNIT.
In either case the PGM mode function is selected. If no other function is selected within a few seconds, the TIME
LED will light, at the time required for the pre-loaded program to fully complete.
An alternative function is selected by first pressing, then releasing, the FUNCTION button.
Each time the button is pressed the next frequency will be chosen until BT9 is selected.
Holding the FUNCTION button down causes the lower functions to be selected until PGM is selected.
If the button is still held down when PGM is selected – the program mode will be entered.
This is confirmed by the TIME LED sweeping in a downward direction.
The program sequence is held in a memory, and may be replaced by another sequence at any time. Only one
program sequence is stored at a time.
When the programming mode is selected as above, (i.e. hold the FUNCTION button down until TIME
LED starts sweeping in a downward direction), a new program sequence may be loaded through the
Serial cable plugged into your computer, and into the PLATES socket.
After opening PORTABLE RIFE/CRANE on your computer and having setup, or loaded, your
desired sequence (frequency and time) make sure the PLATES control knob is pointing to the P
about halfway round.
Select Portable and then “download”. The TIME led display changes for a short time indicating
downloading is taking place. (This may not be noticeable if the sequence is very short). When
download is complete the unit will turn off.
To end session, remove computer cable and press the FUNCTION button.
As the programmed sequence runs, the TIME LED will decrease, indicating time remaining.
At the end of sequence the unit will turn off.
Sequence may be terminated at any time, by pressing the FUNCTION button, then pressing and
holding the TIME button, until all LED turn off.
RIFE/CRANE FREQ.
This function has 249 preset frequencies. See attached list for description
PAIN FREQUENCY
23 set frequencies. The most researched list for pain. See attached list
1-10,000 Hz
This sweeps between 1-10,000 Hz for viral and/or bacterial infection. May be used every several
days.
The Head Set should be dampened in salty (saline) water then attached behind the earlobe.
Set the level for the Head Set fully anticlockwise select the BT9 function by pressing the function seven times.
Now turn the Head set level clockwise slowly until a tingling can be felt around th ears.
Press the TIME button four times to select thirty (30) minutes.
Two sessions a day of thirty (30) minutes each seem to be best. During the thirty (30) minutes the
tingling may decrease due to drying of the electrode, a small increase in headset level should correct
this. If necessary quickly re-dampen the electrodes, do not increase the time, thirty (30) minutes
at a time is sufficient.
Withdrawal symptoms should decrease and often disappear within two to three days.
Turn BT9 level down when not in use for safety and to save power
100 Hz
This is the Pain Frequency , C.E.S and T.E.N.S application.
0.05 Hz
This set frequency is useful for anxiety and related states
TIME:
The unit may be turned on, by pressing either the TIME button, or the FUNCTION button.
In either case the PGM mode function is selected.
If no other function is selected within a few seconds, the TIME LED will light at the required time
for the pre loaded PGM program to fully complete.
If a frequency or BT9 is selected the TIME button may be pressed and released to select the next
longer time.
If the TIME button is pressed and held, the next shorter time will be selected in sequence until the 5
minute LED is lit.
If the TIME button is still held, after a short interval the generator will turn off – indicated by all
LEDS off.
Every 15 seconds during use the time LEDS will flash up to the remaining time. This demonstrates
that the unit is still working and that the battery is still Ok.
BATTERY:
The PORTABLE RIFE/CRANE uses a standard 9 volt dry cell type 216 or equivalent. Standard, long
life, or alkaline cells may be used.
The battery compartment is found on the rear of the box. Slide the cover
to expose the battery. Carefully remove the battery and unclip the battery lead.
Attach the new battery ensuring the lead is correctly aligned. Carefully replace battery and cover. If long periods of
non use, storage, or packing are envisaged, it is advisable to disconnect the battery leads from the battery to
safeguard the unit, to prevent accidentally turning on the unit and to maintain a longer battery life.
CES:
The CES output supplies a small pulsing square wave current for use with the Ear clips. These are
attached to each earlobe.
HEADSET:
The Headset output supplies a sharp voltage pulse for use with the Headset. The electrodes of the
headset should be dipped into a salty water solution to ensure good conductivity to the clean skin,
just behind the earlobe.
PROGRAMMING:
See instructions for PORTABLE RIFE/CRANE to establish the sequence and time for each
desired frequency.
When the programming mode is selected, refer to the PGM instructions, (i.e. hold the function
button down until time LED start sweeping in a downward direction), a new program sequence may
be loaded through the Serial cable plugged into your computer, and into the plates socket.
Make sure the plates level control is pointing to the small P dot – about half way round. With your
sequence set-up in PORTABLE RIFE/CRANE select ‘Portable’, and then ‘Download’.
The TIME LED display will change for a short time indicating downloading is taking place, for
shorter programmes this may not be noticeable. When download is complete unit will turn off.
Remove computer cable from the unit.
The unit has now been loaded with your new program sequence and can be run at any time by
pressing the FUNCTION button once.

COMPUTER CONNECTIONS
Zapping times can vary between 15 minutes to 2 hours a day. It is important to drink at LEAST 3-4
glasses of filtered /purified or distilled water during this process. This will help flush your system and
allow “detoxification” to occur.
It is important to place the electrodes correctly otherwise the process will not be effective.
Insert the silver electrodes into the cotton sleeves. Mix up a small amount of water with salt and wet the
cotton sleeves with this solution. This is a saline solution which will aid with conductivity between the
electrodes and your skin.
Do not place the electrodes on the bare skin as this may irritate or give an uncomfortable feeling to the
Skin
EarClips
These are only to be used for C.E.S programmes (black/choice of a-b-c-d)
Plug into clips output (. Please ensure blue dial (next to clips output) is turned fully counter clockwise.
Then turn the dial clockwise to adjust to your comfort level.
DO NOT PLUG INTO THE PLATES OUTPUT
Headset (H’SET)
This is for use with the BT9 function
Prepare a salty solution by dissolving a teaspoon of salt in a glass of water. (Sea salt or table salt may be
used)
Dip each yellow pad in the salty water, or pour a small amount of the salty water (saline) onto the face of
the pad which is placed against the skin (see Figure 2).
Place the yellow headset pads below the ears, and behind the jaw (in the hollow underneath the skull)
with the metal part of the headset and wires under the chin.
Please ensure blue dial (next to H’SET output) is turned fully counter clockwise.
Then turn the dial clockwise to adjust to your comfort level
An additional use is with red/C. Place headset on affected area e.g. over shoulder or joint.
