tendency to promote or accelerate the decomposition of ammonium
nitrate may be used either.
j) mixing plant and storage of ammonium nitrate have sufficient
supply of stored water or water taps to fight fires, bearing in mind
that only serves to cool water and fire extinguishers are not effective,

had, the holes must be recharged and shoot them taking all the
security measures of the case; Never drill or cut off shots.
c) Ensure that support elements: poles, hats, ties, blocks, ringed with
wooden decking, lattice, rock bolts, among others, are not removed
by a previous shot. If they were, they should be secured immediately.
d) Before the assistant open the valve of the air line, the driller must
have all the drilling machine valves closed to prevent the machine to
lift violently causing accidents.

the side of the machine, never the center, and eye care when
downloading particles when the drill is blown.

checked the entire area has been evacuated, doing a final tour of the
area of equipment and the area near the shooting site.
g) Prior to the set signal, and with the permission of the case, turn the
power of ordering the continuous shooting touch of sirens. When the
danger has passed five (05) minutes after the blast, it will be verified
that have detonated in full all holes and then reopen the traffic again
and proceed to pick up from the watchers.
h) the condition of the electrical cables, poles, insulators and
equipment are checked again to order the reconnection of electricity
to the block, provided that they were in good condition and that the
shot is not affected.

guarded by watchmen responsible. For the lighting of a batch of
shots, the manager will always be accompanied, at least, by an
assistant with experience.
h) Before you start drilling on a newly shot place, it must be washed
with water and carefully examined to determine the missed shots.

immediately before the shooting location is free when surface
retarders are used.
b) When the system start using detonating cord.
1. The line of detonating cord coming out of a hole must be cut from
the supply spool immediately after the tied explosive is correctly
positioned in the hole.

detonation can reach each hole of at least two (02) directions.
3. The connections should be well made and kept at right angles to
the detonating cord circuit.
4. The detonators must be fastened securely to the side of the
detonating cord and be directed in the direction of origin of
detonation.
5. The connections between holes should be done only immediately
before the shooting location is free to use surface retarders.

blasting circuit continuity.

Subchapter VIII
Electric Blasting

Article 262. - In electric blasting should meet the following:

or specially built batteries for electric power shots, unless facilities
lighting power or have been technically adapted for this purpose and
have a special facility connections with double switches that are
accessible only to authorized workers.

b) The lead wires for electric shots will remain in short, while
connecting on the front electric blasting caps for both batch and
personnel in place to shoot not been evacuated.
Those in charge of this work will return to the machine for firing
restoring contacts.
c) drilling of shafts and chimneys is mandatory to use detonators are
initiated by remote control for blasting. According to the operator of
the mine, through five (05) first meters, current taking detonators can
be used all kinds of expectations with regard to the timely evacuation
of such work by the workers responsible for lighting the fire. In
tunneling large section electrical fire personnel must be accomplished
by removing a minimum distance of three hundred (300) meters.
d) When the ignition of the shots is done by electricity, shooting must
be done by a competent person, being strictly forbidden for anyone to
approach the work before the electrical conductors used for this
purpose have been properly disconnected.
e) After the electric shot anyone to enter the work before the leads of
the machine to trip the machine is turned off and lockable.
f) If a fault occurs in an electrical shot first lead wires or trigger line
will be disconnected and these will be short at least two (02) points to
quickly check and correct electrical blasting circuit . Those in charge
of this work will return to the shooting machine for the restoration of
contacts and execute the bombing taking appropriate security
measures.
