Character Project

Outline
The game will take place on the planet Othari, a peaceful planet until the rift opens, letting in creatures from
another dimension. The creatures are hive minded, and are attracted to technology. They seem to have an
instinctive need to destroy the foreign objects. Learning this Otharians have erected Large technological
structures, code named terminals; which draw in all of the invaders. Otharian planetary defence force are tasked
with protecting the terminals and exterminating the invading creatures.

This is where the game begins, the player or players will be able to choose which character they will play in each
stage, each stage is located at a different terminal. If a terminal is heavily damaged, a player can spend there
resources to fix it, but once its health bar hits zero it is game over. The player will have to survive all the waves and
protect the terminal in order to succeed. Each map will start off completely baron excluding walls/barriers placed
to force the player to think outside the box, when placing down barriers. In-between each wave there will be an
opportunity for the player to buy barriers , turrets , upgrade turrets and fix the terminal. The player will be given
resources to spend in the shop and on the terminal, The amount of resources is based on how well the player did on
the last wave. After they have finish spending resources they will be given time to place turrets and barriers.
Turrets come affixed to there own barrier but are more expensive than barriers alone, making it a balancing act of
turret to barrier ratio.
The gameplay style will be First person but with a toggle-able third person mode, for characters that use melee
weapons. Each character will have their own personalised abilities and weapons, which will add an extra level of
strategy. Every character can choose two personal weapons each level. On the last wave of each level there will be a
boss creature with the ability to ignore walls or destroy them. The boss monster will spawn at some point through
the wave and it's spawn time will be randomized. upon completing a level the player will unlock weapon and class
skills for the character they are playing, based on how well they did.

The protagonists

Name: Thahara
Title: The Explorer
Age : 18
Sex: Female
Goal: Defeat all invaders so they hold the freedom to explore their planet.
Needs-Make a name for them self. To be renowned and recognised.

Traits- Outgoing, charismatic, not afraid of a challenge .


Personal History- Thahara was raised by their mother alone, after their father, a renowned adventurer, died searching for
ancient hieroglyphics. The she left home to fulfil their fathers last explorative quest. While searching for the hieroglyphics
they stumbled upon alien architecture, containing forms of indigenous technology. After touching an artefact, it affixed
its self to her arm. Using the weapon she made a name for herself and was recruited by Otharian planetary defence force,
where they protect against rift spawned invaders.

Personal History- Axel is the son of a chemist and a physicist, though he didn't want to follow the same path as his parents. As a
child he lost one eye, after wandering into his mothers lab and accidently dropping a chemical solution onto his eye. his mother
was able to stop the solution from spreading, but he had already lost his eye. Wanting to regain his sight he began researching
cybernetic enhancements. He built himself a new eye, realising that he is good with machines he began to create robotic
companions to help him improve his skills. After being noticed by the defence force he was recruited to help stop the invasion.

The Creature
Not much is known about the creature, but from research some of its
mysterious nature is revealed. It is an agile quadruped that uses its
extra appendages to achieve tasks that other quadrupeds could not
achieve. Its skill has the ability to change pigment, in order to blend
in with its surroundings. Lastly its eyes work best in darkness. The
creature is able to traverse all the barriers placed, but leaves no
physical damage to them, aiming straight for the terminal.
