Mariners are requested to inform the UKHO immediately of the discovery of new or suspected
dangers to navigation, observed changes to navigational aids and of shortcomings in both paper
and digital ADMIRALTY Charts or Publications.
The Hydrographic Note Form (H102) is to be used to forward this information and to report any
ENC display issues.
H102A should be used for reporting changes to Port Information
H102B should be used for reporting GPS/Chart Datum observations.

NP247 Section 19. Satellite Navigation - World Geodetic System 1984 - Position Shifts
Some charts carry a note stating that a satellite-derived position shift cannot be determined because historically
insufficient details of the horizontal datum were known. New information has made it possible to establish the
relationship between the horizontal datum of some charts and WGS84 Datum. A programme of work is now
underway to issue new editions of these charts that will allow positions derived from Global Navigation Satellite
Systems (GNSS) to be plotted directly with no shift. In the mean time the existing Satellite-Derived Positions note
should be superseded by the information in Section 19 of NP247, Annual Summary of Notices to Mariners (Part 1).
