Associated Learning Standard(s):
1. Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity.
2. Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments.

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Seesaw empowers students of any age to independently document what they are learning at
school. Students capture learning with photos and videos of their work, or by adding digital
creations. Everything gets organized in one place and is accessible to teachers from any
device. Student work can be shared with classmates, parents, or published to a class blog.
Seesaw gives students a real audience for their work and offers parents a personalized window
into their child's learning.
INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS
Students will be responsible for keeping tabs on their own assignments and tracking their own grades
throughout the semester. Teacher will regularly check portfolios and give feedback, both positive and
constructive.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
If students are required to build a portfolio for a class, then I would rate Seesaw a 3 because
the assignment would be impossible without it. Keeping track of your own assignments teaches
accountability and organization, and takes some of the pressure off of the teacher. Portfolios
show how much a student has grown and progressed throughout the year.
