MY LOVE, EVER SINCE YOU LEFT ME

By: Gregoria De Jesus

I.

CHARACTERS:
For me, the characters are the author which is Gregoria De Jesus,
Her Lover; Andres Bonifacio and also the people in the nation on
their time.

II.

EMOTION:
What I feel is her so much love, bereavement to her husband and
the sadness she is going through. A poem that shows how enduring
love from a completely loved.

III.

RATING:

Because in this poem, showed appreciation of women in their

society. Also shattered the common view of women was as
frightened and vulnerable individuals. They showed that
consciousness and be able to do other simple tasks such as sewing
flags and treatment. Note that there is no simple task during the
revolution. All work was both essentials.

IV.

RECOMMEDATION:
I will recommend this to the youth and to my fellow students
because it is a good example of showing our love in our nation. And
to reflect that many of them became heroes until now is not very
well known because of very few in the works written about the
women of their day and due to this poem of Gregoria de Jesus, we
learned perspective as a woman during the revolution.
