Name of the School Observed : General Tiburcio De Leon National High School
School Address :Mercado St. Gen. T. de Leon, Valenzuela City
When I visit the school, I found two bulletin boards, one in the catwalk and
one in the lobby. I cannot completely remember the content of the bulletin
on the catwalk but in the lobby, it contains the namesof the teachers,
personnel, and principal. They are place where target viewers can see them
because it is located at the entrance of the main building. It more on color
green, the picture I think is a tree where the branches are the departments.
The information is organized. The materials used in making the displays are
styro, wood, printed names and other printed texts, a not so rough texture
of a paper or cloth, cartolina are also used. When observing it, I dont see
errors on it and the message is clearly sated, that it contains the names of
the teachers, principal and personnel in the school. I dont have a photo of
it.

Your Analysis
Did the board display design reflect the likes/interests of its
target audience? Why? or Why not?
If the design is only were talking about, I think its good but if the viewers are
considered, it is not that attractive because it only contains the names of the
teachers, principal and other personnel. Also it is not an interactive one.
Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience
to understand? Why? or Why not?
It is simple and easy to understand. But it only contains names of the teachers,
principal and other personnel.
What do you think was the purpose of the board display? Was it
effective? Why? or Why not?
The purpose I think is for all the student to know who are the teacher in their
school and if they want to find the teacher they want to meet or even the parent,
it is easy for them to recognize that teacher.

Your Reflections
1. Name at least 3 skills that a teacher should have to be able to come
up with effective board displays. Elaborate on why each skill is
needed.
Artistic skill it is needed so the teacher can catch the interest and
attract the viewers and learners
Creative Mind the teacher must possess this skill for him/her to
move and entice the imaginative mind of the learners.
Communication skill the teacher should have this skill for him/her
to convey the message clearly.
2. Which of the skills do you already have? Recall your past
experiences in making board displays. How do you practice these
skills?
I have the knowledge about computer, have an imaginative mind and can
consider have artistic skills. I practice these skills when I have my free
time, draw anything or write anything. Also when I have my homework or
my cousins have their homework.

3. Which skills do you still need to develop? Reflect on how you can
improve on or acquire these skills.
Communicating skills, I dont know but I become blank when
speaking in English. But I think I can improve it by practicing in talking in
English often especially while talking in front of the class.
