language
Note the teacher`s position and movement. Draw a ground plan showing the
teachers movement during the lesson.
Most of the time, teacher sits in front of the whiteboard close to the students in a
horseshoe.
The majority of the time the teacher sits on her desk and sometimes she stands in
front of the class when she needs to use the whiteboard for writing.
At the beginning of the lesson, the teacher sits on her desk because she has to call
the roll and sign the book. Then she stands in front of the class and explains the
activity. Finally, at the end of the lesson, the teacher sits on her desk and checks
the activity with the students.
The teacher hardly ever moves around and when she does it is for monitoring the
students in the development of the task.
Can the teacher be heard and seen clearly by all the learners?
Yes, as I mentioned before, there are only six students in the classroom and also it
is very small.
