PUBLIC NOTICE
The Illinois State Board of Elections will conduct Special Board meetings of the State Board of
Elections and State Officers Electoral Board on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.
The meetings, scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. via video conference, may be monitored at the
Board’s office located at 1020 South Spring Street, Springfield IL; in the James R. Thompson
Center, Suite 14-100, 100 W. Randolph Street, Chicago, IL; and in Room 104 of Lewis & Clark
Community College, 5800 Godfrey Road, Godfrey, IL. Admittance to the Thompson Center
requires security screening of all visitors and valid state identification.
The Board will reconvene as the State Officers Electoral Board to: call cases and accept
appearances of objections to new party and independent candidate petitions for the
November 2, 2010 General Election for the following matters:

Also to approve the Rules of Procedure; Authorize the General Counsel to appoint Hearing
Examiners as required; consider the matter of Kvernes v. Schorfheide, 10SOEBGE102, an
objection to a resolution to fill vacancies in nomination for the November 2, 2010 General
Election carried over from the June 11 meeting; and conduct other business as necessary.
The Board may convene as the State Board of Elections to address other matters as needed
and/or recess into executive session to consider litigation and/or personnel matters.
