LM6000 Enhanced Package

A reliable and integrated solution for
Offshore and Onshore applications

Pipeline
LNG
Gas reinjection and storage
Offshore applications
Refinery & Petrochemical

Offering a new solution for offshore and onshore applications, GE Oil & Gas introduces its
LM6000 Enhanced Package, which builds on more than 16 million hours of experience
compiled by GE’s LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbine fleet. The LM6000 is the highest
efficiency gas turbine that can guarantee NOx emissions at 15ppm in the 35 - 60 MW range.

The new, integrated package features the LM6000 aeroderivative gas turbine coupled with
a centrifugal compressor for mechanical drive duty. It has been specifically designed
to meet the stringent requirements of the liquefaction market, with special attention to
floating LNG applications where compressor operation and fuel flexibility are key.

Key characteristics
Reduced footprint and weight
Enhanced reliability and availability
Compact modular design reduces
installation and commissioning time
and ensures ease of maintenance
High efficiency of LM6000 provides
fuel cost savings and NOx and CO2
emission reductions
Leverages on GE’s proven experience
with marine environment applications,
as well as the successful PGT25+
product line

technologies to deliver greater value
Gas Turbine GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
The LM6000 is a simple-cycle, two-shaft, high performance gas turbine derived
from the powerful GE CF6-80C2 high bypass turbofan aircraft engine, delivering Compressor
more than 44 MW at over 42% thermal efficiency. A direct drive provides 60,000 - Two axial compressor (LPC, HPC)
shaft horsepower from either end of the low pressure rotor for a wide range of - LPC five stage
electric power generation and mechanical drive applications in any environment. - HPC fourteen stage
- Pressure ratio 28,5:1
Mechanical Drive
The LM6000’s design allows full speed range capability from 50-105% of the
Combustion & Emission Control
rated speed of 3600 RPM. Continuing the tradition of the established record of GE’s
- Single Annular combustion
PGT25+, the LM6000 is ideal as a source of drive-power for pipeline compression,
chamber (LM6000PC)
offshore platforms and gas re-injection, as well as for LNG compressors, both
- Dry Low Emission (DLE) system
onshore and offshore.
for 25ppm NOx (LM6000PD)
- Dry Low Emission (DLE) system
Enhanced Package designed for ease of operation and maintenance
for 15ppm NOx (LM6000PF)
The new LM6000 Enhanced Package has been optimized for high reliability, reduced
weight and footprint, and fast installation. The main auxiliary systems have been
integrated into the gas turbine package to drastically reduce interconnecting cables Turbine
and pipes, and minimize flushing onsite. Remote I/O control panels can be used for - Two stage HPT
quick connection and to allow functional testing in the GE workshop. - Six stage LPT (3600 RPM)
