1.0 OBJECTIVE
1.1 To describe the inspection and test procedure for erection of dry wall partition
works for the contract no GTC.101/ED/01 Engineering, Procurement,
Installation and Commissioning (EPIC) of Ras Laffan Utilization Project
Buildings and utilities and support service Phase 1-Utilities.
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 Applicable to the dry wall partition work in office buildings at Service Base Area,
Service Berth Area.

4.0 PROCEDURE
4.1 Approval for the materials like framework, partition boards, including fixtures
have to be taken from QP prior to proceed for actual work.
4.2 Setting out of the areas where dry wall partitions have to be erected has to be
done and the approval from QP has to be obtained to proceed further.
4.4 All the succeeding activities like electrical & telephone conduiting wiring and
other M&E recess are to be completed successively.
4.6 Based on architectural requirement the selection of the boards are to be made.
They must be damage free and have required thickness.
4.7 The boards are to be fixed to the frame in position, true to line and level.
4.8 All the joints are to be filled with approved sealer tapes, putty and the
decorative coat to be applied.
