Day 2: Islam and the Prophet Muhammad
Day 3: Controversy over Jerusalem
Day 4: Crusades Background & Motivation
Day 5: Influences in Africa
Day 6: Advancements in the East and Intro to Mongols
Day 7: Mongol Role Play
Day 8: Advertising & Persuasion Techniques/ Project Expectations
Day 9: Debate Recording/ Due at end of class.
The ultimate goal is for students to film a debate in their groups
answering one of the debatable questions for this unit: 1) To what extent
did ideology support growth of civilization in the Middle Ages? Or 2)
To what extent do leaders use ideology as a way to justify their goals?
