Week 4 Blog
This is where you think about your FMP learning journey and development.
Don’t simply describe what you did - consider what you have learnt and how this has benefitted
your project. What do you need to improve?
THIS IS JUST GUIDANCE THAT YOU NEED TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN PROJECT. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR
OWN PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS SHOULD REFELCT THAT.
THESE QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN THE WEEKS YOU COMPLETED THEM. DO NOT JUST SUBMIT THIS
FORM FILLED IN FOR YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS. THERE SHOULD BE 11 WEEKLY BLOG ENTRIES (INCLUDING
EASTER).
PLANNING
What did you learn from your planning I have learnt that I by planning out what I’m going to do each
this week? day and sticking to it helps me a lot as it keeps me organised
and allows me to use my days productively and allows me
extra time for any re shoots or last-minute editing.
What issues did you encounter and The problem I encountered was that I was planning on filming
how did you overcome them? at my secondary school after emailing them, I wasn’t aware
that they wouldn’t get back to me for a week which meant
pushing back my filming, as a result I used a classroom in the
Rotherfield campus to look like a school classroom and was
able to film on time and had extra time for any re shoots.
Another problem I encountered was not having enough
relevant footage to fill in space on the timeline of my music
video, to overcome this I recorded some footage of the main
girl with blood dripping down her hands into the sink and her
washing away the blood down the drains so that no one sees
it. Another issue I encountered was that my shooting script
didn’t really work which means I had to change some scenes
which did work and made my production better.
How did you ensure that your I’m not the best at drawing, if I drew my storyboards it would’ve
storyboards were completed to a high contained stick men which wouldn’t show the shots exactly, so
standard? I asked Olivia to draw my storyboards as she was able to show
the shots through the storyboards.
How has your planning Over the past weeks I have been gathering feedback on my
developed/changed during the ideas to help me develop my idea further. My planning has
planning stage? changed by getting rid of certain scenes and adding new
ones to make my narrative flow better and look better to the
audience.
How have you ensured your I ensured my shooting script was of high standard as I
script/shooting script is of a high repeatedly got feedback from my teacher on what I needed
detailed standard? to change to improve my script and therefore making it of high
standard. I also added specific details to show the audience
what my exact plans were for the scenes in case they didn’t
get that from my storyboards.
How well have you managed and I have managed my cast to be available as I arranged my
organised your cast and crew to be in filming days around Olivia the main character and as she was
available when you need them? also in Jermaine’s production we worked out both our days to
film with Olivia. I also had to work around filming with Olivia as
she was going away for a week therefore I had to get most of
my major scenes filmed before she went on holiday and film
some little scenes when she was back from her holiday. After
the first day of filming when certain people messed around too
much causing me to lose time to film and become behind, I
decided to change the extras n my production with someone I
knew wouldn’t mess around and would help me to get all my
filming done.
Are you on track for the week? If not, I need to complete my storyboards and upload pictures of
how far behind are you? them, I also need to film some extra scenes to add to my
production which I can do next week for re shoots
What work do you need to complete Upload pictures of storyboards and film some extra scenes.
