I. PLANNING PHASE

1. STEP 1: SITUATION ANALYSIS

‘Potato Twister’ offers an amazing potato snack known as “Tornado Potato” that will
surely twist the taste buds of all individuals.

A. SWOT ANALYSIS

This SWOT analysis will show the strengths and weaknesses of the business, it will also
describe the opportunities and threats that “ Potato Twister” will face.

The strengths of the business are it’s farm to table ingredients, sustainability, natural and
organic concept, and local goods are accessible. While the weakness is high cost of shipped
goods. Its opportunity is favorable whole year round. And the threaths are reliance on students
and teachers and government regulations.

B. INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

Market Needs

The “Potato Twister” is attempting to fill two market needs. First, there's a need for a
fast food that produces high quality, great flavored food, at a low cost. In other words, there's a
need for value beyond "cheap." There is also the need for eating in a clean, wholesome
environment. There are many people who will not set foot inside a fast food restaurant due to
the restaurant's lack of cleanliness and the relative poverty and despair displayed by the people
working in these fast food restaurants.

Market Trends

The market for fast food is becoming more demanding, some companies have found
that healthy fast food pays off. As mentioned in the Market Needs topic, many people are
heading for restaurants that offer fast food at a slightly higher price, but at a much higher quality,
and delivered by employees who do not feel degraded or otherwise fatalistic about their role at
work.

C. COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

The main competitors are the major national fast food franchises. Many things will
contributes to the growth in our market by advocating for healthy eating habits via online, TV,
and radio advertising.

D. COMPANY ANALYSIS

Tornado potato is a snack which made of medium size 100 grams deep fried potato that
is cut spirally and then serves either with powdered cheese, sweet and spicy fishball sauce or
ketchyonnaise (a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise).
E. CUSTOMER ANALYSIS

The “Night Walker” will cater people who are active at night, like call center agents,
doctors, and nurses. People like them need services that are extra special because they exert
extra effort. Foods and entertainment are the goods and services that “Night Walker” will
provide them. Many nighttime workers are striving to find places where to eat, relax, rest, and to
entertain themselves.

The mission of “Potato Twister” is to bring to market the tastiest and healthiest fast
foodoffering real value over other fast food restaurants. High standards of quality and
cleanliness will establish a reputation as the cleanest. And 1% of profits will be given to a local
environmental conservation fund. This franchise is founded on the concept that good works and
good deeds not only serve the needs of the community, but will keep the company healthy both
financially and spiritually, helping to maintain a commitment to filling customer needs.

B. TARGET MARKET

‘Potato Twister’ aims to provide a lip-smacking low-cost product for individuals.


Establishment of this food house seeks business to flow smoothly and to be profit-oriented firm.

‘Potato Twister’ intends to cater all individuals especially bulk of teenagers and
youngsters. To large extent, everyone needs something from our shop. The enterprise will be
located at Fort San Pedro National High School Campus to serve a whole lot of people, but our
major targets will include: Students, School Staffs and Deep Fried Potato Lovers.

C. DETERMINE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

The main competitors are the major national fast food franchises. Many things will
contributes to the growth in our market by advocating for healthy eating habits via online, TV,
and radio advertising.

D. POSITION THE PRODUCT

The “Potato Twister” products are positioned to be flavorful, sometimes healthy


alternatives to fast food. Customers will appreciate the clean seating areas, and special sauces,
as well as meal specials.

Our main product is a tornado potato which is a deep fried spiral-cut whole potato on a skewer,
brushed with various seasonings such as onion, cheese, or honey.With a Filipino twist on the
tornado potato, it is deep fried on bamboo skewer either with powdered cheese, sweet and
spicy fish ball sauce or ketchyonnaise (a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise).

 Price

The selling price for the ‘Potato Twister’ is ₱20.00 per serve or per stick.

Potato Twister’s current operation with total sales of 240,000 pesos deducted by the
total direct costs of 89,520 pesos, total indirects cost 42,635.04, and income tax of 45,294.84
which will result to the net profit of 62,550.12.

II. IMPLEMENTATION PHASE

1. OBTAIN RESOURCES

There are materials that being used in ‘Potato Twister’ to produce delicious tornado
potatoes. The business’s equipment and other asset. The main equipment of the business is
butane stove and frying pan, food thongs, sauce containers, and bamboo skewers.
