Please design the waste drain system to pass through an on-site water treatment plant before
being released into the surface drain.
Confirm the septic tank and soak well locations per the most recent set septic site plan.
All exterior drain lines (balconies and stair areas) need to be shown.
The water supply line from the underground tank to the rooftop tank needs to be shown and
noted on each floor plan. (Currently only shown on the fifth floor plan.)
All punches should be dimensioned to grid lines. We can’t dimension to toilet partitions or walls
because they will not be in place when the punches are formed in the slab. Please let us know if
you plan for the punches to be cut after the slab is poured and walls are in place.
Are the “Thru floor slab” waste water lines sloped or are they flat in the tile mortar bed?
Urinals should be part of the sanitary system not the waste water system.
Septic Tank Details: it is noted that this septic tanks are for 100 and 200 users. How is that
calculated? It seems like they should be sized for the actual amount of people planned.
Many of these engineering drawings are using old versions of the architectural plans. For
example: the Men’s Dorm main floor plans are based on current drawings but the toilet block
plans are based on old floor plans. The Family Dorm plans are over a year old.
Ground Floor:
Main Plan: We made a small modification to where the plumbing lines come down on the
ground floor. I have attached an image showing the change.
Main Plan: Water connections have not been shown for the filtered water station near
reception, the prep sink near reception, or the laundry facilities in the hospitality room.
Supply Plan: The drops for the toilets interfere with ventilation louvers above.
Main Plan: The drawing that is labeled “2nd floor plan” actually shows the first floor plan. The
plumbing will be the same except for the drain for the south balcony.
Punch Plan: Each punch requires 2 dimensions (1 horizontal and 1 vertical).
Supply Plan: The drops to the guest bathroom toilets interfere with windows.
Supply Plan: The drops to the two squatties interfere with ventilation louvers above.
Third Floor:
Main Plan: This drawing shows the first floor plan. The third floor plan should have three guest
rooms north of the hallway and two apartments south of the hallway.
There are no toilet block layout drawings for the third floor.
Fourth Floor:
Main Plan: This drawing shows the first floor plan. The fourth floor plan has two breakout rooms
north of the hallway instead of guest rooms.
Toilet Block 1: No water connection shown to prep sink in Breakout Room 2.
Punch Plan: Each punch requires 2 dimensions (1 horizontal and 1 vertical).
Supply Plan: The drops to the two squatties interfere with ventilation louvers above.
Fifth Floor:
Plans do not use the most recent architectural drawings. ADA bathroom has different layout.
Main Plan: The supply lines to and from the water tank cannot travel through the large
conference area. They need to be routed under the floor, in the ceiling, or through the walls.
Main Plan: Water tank over-flow pipe and 50mm drain pipe need to be routed vertically through
the storage rooms down to the perimeter drain on grade.
Main Plan: Toilets are not in the right locations.
Punch Plan: Each punch requires 2 dimensions (1 horizontal and 1 vertical).
Supply Plan: Drops for Men’s sinks, drops for squatties, and drops for the ADA bathroom all
interfere with ventilation louvers above.

ground floor. I have attached an image showing the change.
Main Plan: No water connections have been shown for the hand-wash stations, for the sink in
the prep kitchen, for the sinks in the cleaning area, or the filtered water station.
Main Plan: Is it possible to locate the water pump in the generator room?
Main Plan: The supply pipe to the overhead water tank should be under the slab then vertically
through the generator/storage rooms to the roof.
Main Plan: The north rain stacks should move south a few feet into the balcony corners.
Punch Plan: Each punch requires 2 dimensions (1 horizontal and 1 vertical).
Supply Plan: Drop for north toilet interferes with ventilation louvers above.
First –Sixth Floor:
Terrace Floor:
Main Plan: Water tank supply pipe from underground water tank should be inside the building.
Main Plan: Supply pipe from water tank should be routed under the slab to the mechanical
shaft, they should not travel across the terrace then drop through the slab.
Main Plan: No water supply or waste water connections are shown to the 12 laundry basins or 8
floor drains.
