PREFACE

“Eduwiser’s Mathematics for AIEEE” is a result of market surveys that we have been conducting to know the actual requirements
of AIEEE and other State Level Entrance Examination aspirants. This book, hence, is specifically suited for the students
appearing in AIEEE and Other State Level Examinations like DCE, Karnataka CET, Maharashtra CET, West Bengal JEE, Orissa
JEE, MP PET, Kerela PET, Punjab CET, Gujarat CET etc.

The book encapsulates relevant theory portions to explain all the desired concepts prescribed in the syllabus. An exhaustive
number of NEW PATTERN QUESTIONS in the form of EXERCISE PROBLEMS and PROBLEMS ASKED IN COMPETITIONS
have been included to help the students prepare extensively for the examinations. Past 10 year questions of IIT-JEE, AIEEE and
various State Level Engineering Examinations have been provided with solution at the end of each chapter.

To get the best intended results, students using this book for AIEEE, IIT-JEE and Other State Level Examinations should do the
following:
(1) Be thorough with the concepts of each chapter.
(2) First try to solve exercise problems without looking at the solution.
(3) Thereafter attempt the questions asked in previous years at AIEEE, IIT-JEE and other State Level Engineering Examinations
for each chapter.
(4) The exhaustive sets of questions given provide you enough opportunity to practice. Therefore, PRACTISE
Salient features of this book are:
• Intended for students appearing in various competitive engineering examinations especially AIEEE
• Exhaustive but concise (to the point) theory
• New pattern problems included in the book along with detailed solutions
• Questions of the following types:
v Single Correct Answer Type
v Assertion-Reason Type
v Questions Asked in Competitions
The unique appeal of the book also lies in the challenging problems that have been designed to take the student's understanding
of concepts to a deeper level. Special care has been taken to keep the material concise and yet give it an appropriate level of
detail.
Let us take this opportunity to thank all the teachers and students who participated in the surveys conducted by the Knowledge
Group at Eduwiser. All of you have indeed been an integral part of the whole process of creating this book.
Despite our best efforts to make this book error free, some printing errors might have crept in. We would appreciate if the same
are brought to our notice. Any suggestions/criticisms from teachers and students will be thankfully accepted and worked upon.
You may send your concerns and/or valuable inputs by post to any of Eduwiser’s offices or through email to [email protected].
We hope this book proves useful.
