 Taught the narrator Arithmetic ,a subject the narrator disliked-used stringing


beads in groups to teach counting, addition subtraction

 Seized the right moment to impart knowledge to make it acceptable to the


narrator

 The narrator scarcely thought of herself without Miss Sullivan.

 Taught the narrator Algebr ,Geometry, Greek and Latin.

 Gave her lessons five times a week.

 Explained each time when the narrator did not understand.


o Assigned new work and took home with him Greek exercise done by the
narrator for correction .

o Spend plenty of time to explain which the narrator did not understand

o Made Mathematics interesting for the narrator.

o Kept her mind alert, eager and trained it to reason clearly and to seek
conclusions calmly and logically.

o Was always gentle and forbearing while teaching her.
