Program A three-day live-out Echo Training of the Action Research
Description Writing Workshop.
Objectives 1. Orient the participants on the nature of action research
and its difference with other forms of research.
2. Develop the capabilities of teaching personnel in writing an
action research proposal.
3. Enhance participants’ knowledge in using research
instruments and statistical treatment needed to answer
research questions.
4. Create a work plan for the conduct of the action research.
Brief The training started with a prayer, overture for preliminary
Narrative parts of the opening program. The first discussion was done

the Basic Education Research Fund, followed by Dr Dorcas
L. Mejia on School Action Research: Whys and Wherefores,
Challenges and Silver Linings for Day 1. Discussion about
Problem Sensing and Concept Development was done by Dr.
Dorcas L. Mejia, Methodology and Design by Argie Mabag,
and followed by Writing Draft of Research Proposal (Chapter
1-3) for the morning session for Day 2. The afternoon session
started with the continuation in Writing Draft of Research
Proposal, and Writing the Final Parts by Argie Mabag for Day
2. Ethical Issues were discussed by Dr Dorcas L. Mejia,
followed by Finalization of Research Proposal and
Preparation of Powerpoint Presentation of Research Proposal
for the morning session. Presentation of Research Proposal
for Science, Math, TLE, Araling Panlipunan, English,
MAPEH) started the afternoon session for Day 3. The training
ended with the closing program and awarding of certificates
to participants.
Challenges Slow internet connection to access the internet for related

Suggestions Conduct the training in a venue where internet connection is
fast and steady.
