Rationale and Description The Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) Movement helps the girls
and young women realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare
themselves for their responsibilities in the home, the nation and the world
community. Hence, the Department of Education has issued DO No. 68, s
2003 to revitalize Boy/ Girl scouting in the schools. This scouting
movement is an effective program in the leadership and values formation
of every child. This year’s scouting aims to promote that every individual
can do good deeds in their own little way to show the mankind that they
are the hopes of the nation.

Further it is a gender and cultural- sensitive activity since the
school welcomes as well as considers equal opportunity for the students,
faculty and staff to actively participate in the said endeavor regardless of
race, religious affiliation and even gender. The participants of the said
encampment are the participants for the Municipal Encampment. The
teacher-participants of this activity are requested to be given a two (2)
days service credits for the services rendered during the whole duration
of the said activity as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 53, series of 2003
and DepEd Order No.65, series of 2021.
