Population of the Municipality of Minalabac

(Based on the Results of 2015 Census of Population)
The population of Minalabac as of 2015 is 52,390

• Minalabac's population as of August 1, 2015 was 52,390, based on the 2015 Census of
Population (POPCEN2015). The municipality ranks 16th among the 37 city/municipality of
Camarines Sur.

• The 2015 population is higher by 4,228 compared with the population of 48,162 in 2010,
and by 10,656 compared with the population of 41,734 in 2000.

• From 2010 to 2015, the population of Minalabac increased by 1.62 percent annually, on
average. By comparison, the rate at which the municipality's population grew during the
period 2000 to 2010 was lower at 1.44 percent.

• Minalabac has 25 barangays. Barangay Antipolo had the biggest population of 6,529
persons in 2015 and accounted for about 12.46 percent of the municipality's population. It
was followed by Barangay Hobo with 4,061, and Barangay Baliuag Viejo with 3,421 persons.
The combined population of these three barangays accounted for about 26.74 percent of
the population of Minalabac in 2015.

• Barangay San Francisco (Pob.) was the smallest barangay in 2015, in terms of population
size, with 569 persons. It was followed by Barangay San Felipe-Santiago (Pob.) with 645
persons.

Population density in Minalabac increases from 382 to 415 persons per square kilometer

• With a total land area of approximately 126.10 square kilometers, the population
density of Minalabac in 2015 was posted at 415 persons per square kilometer. This
represents an increase of 33 persons per square kilometer from the population density
of 382 persons per square kilometer in 2010. In 2000, there were about 331 persons
residing in every square kilometer of land in the municipality.
