New Vocabulary
scientist (n) a person who studies or is an expert in science .
astronaut (n) atraveller in space .

New Structure:
Verb : is a doing or being word .
E.g.:
• Noha plays chess .
plays = doing verb .
• The children are happy .
are = being verb .
A synonym: is a word that means the same or nearly the same as another
word .
E.g.: amazing = wonderful / hazardous = dangerous .
An antonym : means the opposite of a word .
E.g.: tiny ≠ big / amazing ≠ dull
Phrasal verbs :
We can add words like : up , down and of after some verbs .
This changes their meaning .
These sorts of verbs are called phrasal verbs

look at = to watch
look after = to take care of
E.g.: get up = to wake up
get out = to escape
Present continuous with future meaning
Form:
Affirmative:
E.g.:
• I'm arriving next week .
• We're visiting our granddad this weekend .
• My brother is going to the club tomorrow .

Negative:
E.g.: 1) I'm not arriving next week .
2) He is not going to the club tomorrow .
3) We're not visiting our granddad this weekend .
Questions:
E.g.: 1) Are you arriving next week ?

key words: tomorrow , next , in the future , in three weeks .

Usage:
To talk about arranged plans for a particular time in the future .

New Structure
Some words have more than one meaning
wake = verb ( to stop sleeping )
wake = noun ( a track moving behind something )
Verbs ending in (ing ) can often be used as adjectives :
E.g.: The moon is shining ing verb
Watch the shining moon ing adjective
E.g.:
• The moon is so bright !
• The moon is so bright that we can see everything in the garden !
• The children were so hungry !
• The children were so hungry that they ate all the biscuits !
E.g.:
• It is such a beautiful night !
• They are such beautiful flowers !
• They are such good players that they won the match !
Join the sentences once using ( so …… that ) and another using ( such a / an
…… that )
