Infinitive of purpose
 we use (to+infintive) to express purpose,and to say why
someone does something
Why did she go to town ?
- She went to town to buy a dress
Why did you go to the hall?
I went to the hall to get my coat .
Past simple tense
Form:
When we put a verb in the past simple tense, we find there are two kinds
of verbs;
(a) Regular verbs (b) Irregular verbs
-When we put a regular verb in the past simple tense, we add to the
verb: (-ed/ -d/ -ied).
e.g. help  helped / start  started
-If the verb is regular & ends in(e),we add to the verb(d)only.
e.g. Live  lived / smile  smiled
-If the verb is regular & ends in(y)preceded by a consonant, we omit
the(y)and add(-ied).
e.g. Study  Studied Cry  Cried
-If the verb is regular and ends in(1 vowel + 1 consonant),we double the
last letter before adding (-ed).
e.g. Stop  stopped plan  planned
- When we put an irregular verb in the past, we change the verb.
e.g. do  did have  had Go went
-Keywords of the past simple
Yesterday- last – ago - in the past – Once - One day - In + (any year in the past

-Negation

Subject + didn’t +v.inf

In Egypt’s White Desert, you can see some amazing sculptures. There
weren’t any sculptures millions of years age. Here is how they were made.
Over time the wind blows sand and small stones against the rocks. The
rocks change shape. After many years, the wind and sand turn the rocks into
beautiful sculptures. So, no one has ever made these sculptures. They were
made by bature.
The Fayoum Depression is a very special place in the Western Desert of
Egypt. It’s an oases with the biggest waterfalls in Egypt. It has the huge Wadi
