Modelling and Simulation of VSC based HVDC Power Transmission Networks May - July 2014
• Developed and performed the analysis of HVDC network during normal and abnormal condition using VSC (two
level) through simulation using MATLAB Simulink.
• Tested the dynamic performance of MTDC with control system using MATLAB Simulink.

Design of Long Transmission Lines January – March 2014


• Calculated an optimum voltage level, number of circuits, insulation level, tower spacing, conductor sag and other
mechanical and structural considerations along with the selection of conductor type by performing economic analysis.

Power Flow Studies June – August 2013


• Performed power flow analysis for a 13-bus test system using Gauss Seidel Method.
• Analyzed the effect of different control parameter on the active and reactive power flows through the network.
• Proposed modifications to bring all the voltages within allowable limits by adding a new line or capacitor banks.
Tool used: Power World Simulator and MATLAB Simulink.
