This document contains answers to cohort study questions from a student named Siti Hadijah Aspan with ID 6374006053. The exposure of interest is macrosomic neonates and the main outcome is dental caries. The population is from a closed cohort study using data from 1997-2006 so no new participants could be added. The cumulative incidence ratio and difference were calculated comparing children whose parents sometimes or never brushed teeth at age 3 to those whose parents brushed daily.

Answer of the cohort questions:
1. What is/are the exposure(s) of interest? Macrosomic neonates 2. What’s the main outcome of interest? Dental caries. 3. Is the population experience from opened or closed cohort? Closed cohort, because the study using data form participant from some period of time ( 1997- 2006) so no more additional participant. In fact, the number of participants were getting smaller 4. Calculate cumulative incidence ratio and cumulative incidence difference for all dental caries comparing children whose parents sometimes or never brushed the child’s teeth at 3 years to those whose parents brushed their teeth daily Cumulative Incidence Ratio = 53.924/117.175 = 47 / 100 person-years CI (sometimes or never brushed teeth) = 8459/13.867 = 0.610 CI (daily brushed teeth) = 44.103/101.153 =0.436 Rate Difference = 13.867 -101.153=-87.286
