measurements. This should include a method
for checking temperature.

Comparison records should be maintained

between manual and automated soundings

system. Any discrepancies must be reported

Safety
BRAVE ROYAL SHIP MANAGEMENT (BD) LIMITED.

State PPE to be worn during bunkering

Arrangements for testing the presence of toxic and

flammable gas. Ship’s personnel should always be
alert to the possible presence of H2S in bunker
fuel.

Procedures to be followed onboard in the event of

high H2S levels.

Manning requirement to execute the

operation safely.
Personnel involved in the bunkering operation
onboard should have no other tasks and should
remain at their workstations during topping off.
This is particularly important when bunkers are
being loaded
concurrent with cargo operations, so that conflicts
of interest for operational personnel are avoided.
