The HeARt Learning Module or Hearter’s Academic and
Reflection Module is your learning guide crafted by the subject
experts to facilitate the home-based learning set-up with the
integration of technology. It contains the expected learning
outcomes, reflections, varied activities, formative assessments,
and suggested resources to assist the independent learning
experiences of the Ateneo Hearters.
Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of excellence, leadership, and
service, your HeARt Learning Module is the main reference for the
subject. Inspired by the innovations of the times, it is guided by the
principles of 21st century learning: creativity, critical thinking,
collaboration, and technology. It is with much hope and prayer
that it will further guide you, Ateneo Hearters as you continue to
be ignited by the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Lesson overview / presentation:

Hello, Ateneo Hearters! How’s your day? J

For this session, you will be answering your

Performance Task 1.1 which is all about
common, proper, singular and plural nouns.

1
Learning Task
1. To help you prepare for today’s activity,
let us have a quick review of what nouns
are and its different kinds. Take a look at
the picture below:

2
Learning Task
2. There you go! Do not forget that nouns
are names of animals too. When we say
common nouns, they begin with a small
letter while proper nouns always begin
with a capital (big) letter since their
names are specific or real.

3. You reviewed that plural nouns are more

than one, right? Do you still remember
that we add letters to a singular noun to
make them plural?

Take a look at the picture showing the

different rules. Take note that we do not
use the rule with nouns ending with the
letter o in our lesson.

Learning Task

Yey! Now you are ready for our activity.

Let’s go do Performance Task 1.1. J

about it.

Your bucket list should have correct

examples of nouns in every category

common, proper, and plural nouns. It will be
graded by its content, mechanics
(correctness), creativity, and neatness.
