Respiratory System
 To describe the functions each part of the respiratory system
R/ The respiratory system has many different parts that work together to help
you breathe. Each group of parts has many separate components.
Your airways deliver air to your lungs. Your airways are a complicated system
that includes your:
 Mouth and nose: Openings that pull air from outside your body into your
respiratory system.
 Sinuses: Hollow areas between the bones in your head that help
regulate the temperature and humidity of the air you inhale.
 Pharynx (throat): Tube that delivers air from your mouth and nose to the
trachea (windpipe).
 Trachea: Passage connecting your throat and lungs.
 Bronchial tubes: Tubes at the bottom of your windpipe that connect into
each lung.
 Lungs: Two organs that remove oxygen from the air and pass it into
your blood.

R/ The primary function of the respiratory system is gas exchange. Animal cells
use oxygen and produce carbon dioxide as a byproduct.
The circulatory System
 R/ Circulatory system allows to carry blood to all parts of the body

 The blood vessel are attached to the heart
 The functions are: Arteries carry blood from the heart. Veins carry blood
back to the heart
 The movement of the blood throught the heart are around the body.
 A person needs healtly and living cells.

Heart El corazón es un órgano del tamaño

transporta desechos de los
organismos y CO2, aunque
algunas venas conducen sangre
oxigenada
Blood La sangre es un tejido líquido que
recorre el organismo, a través de los
vasos sanguíneos, transportando
células y todos los elementos
necesarios para realizar sus
funciones vitales.
Antibodies Es una proteína producida por el
sistema inmunitario del cuerpo
cuando detecta sustancias dañinas,
llamadas antígenos. Los ejemplos de
antígenos abarcan microorganismos
(tales como bacterias, hongos,
parásitos y virus) y químico
Pressure La presión sanguínea es la
fuerza que se aplica contra las
paredes de las arterias cuando el
corazón bombea la sangre al cuerpo.
La presión está determinada por la
fuerza y cantidad de sangre
bombeada y el tamaño y flexibilidad
de las arterias
Platelets Las plaquetas, también conocidas
como trombocitos, son células
sanguíneas. Se forman en la médula
ósea, un tejido similar a una esponja
en sus huesos.
Las plaquetas juegan un papel
importante en la coagulación de la
sangre. Normalmente, cuando uno de
sus vasos sanguíneos se rompe,
comienza a sangrar.
Arteries Una arteria es cada uno de los vasos
que llevan la sangre con oxígeno
desde el corazón hacia los capilares
del cuerpo.
