Evacuation Instruction SchindlerEuroLift MRL/MR

HHOnly trained and authorized personnel is allowed to


execute an evacuation.
HHManual operation of the elevator is only permitted in
EMERGENCY SITUATIONS according to the instruction
below.
HHIt is NOT allowed to overbridge the safety circuit.

H Switch off the mains switch [1], in the control cabinet (AS) for
[1] MRL or in the machine room for MR.
HH Display [15] shows the next available floor for the car.
HHIn case the LED LUET [4] is ON:
The car is in the door opening zone (¦12cm) and the
passengers can be evacuated £ go to II)
HH In case the LED LUET [4] is OFF:
MRL Calm the passengers and ask them to close the car door
and stand back. Inform them that the car will move.

In order to eliminate any risk, make sure that all hoistway
doors are locked !

Evacuation with Recall Control
HHSwitch on mains switch [1].

MR HHUse the recall control to move the car to the next available
floor until the LED LUET [4] is ON.
H Switch off mains switch [1] and close the control cabinet (AS)
resp. the machine room (MR) £ go to II)
HHIf the evacuation is not possible with recall control £ go to I)

[3] I) Manual Evacuation


[4] H Check if the mains switch [1] is still OFF.
[5] H Press the buttons and [16] at the same time and
[15]
observe the LEDs [3,4,5].
H In case the LEDs LR-U [3], LUET [4] and LR-D [5] are OFF:
Close the AS resp. MR and call the emergency service!
H In case the LEDs LR-U [3], LUET [4] and LR-D [5] light up:
Important! During the evacuation procedure the LR-U (up) and
LR-D (down) LEDs show the motion direction of the car.
If the LEDs LR-U [3] and LR-D [5] blink and an audible
[16] signal sounds, the car is moving too fast £ return the brake
release lever immediately to the start position.
H Put the brake release lever [2] into position and grip it firmly.
H While observing permanently the LEDs [3,4,5] pull down
carefully the brake release lever in order to move the
[2] car slowly. Move the car until the LED LUET [4] turns ON.
H Push back the brake release lever [2] into its start position.
H Close the control cabinet (AS) resp. the machine room (MR)
£ go to II)

II) Passenger Evacuation from the Car

HHGo to the displayed floor [15]. Open the hoistway door using
the triangular key and evacuate the passengers.
(Caution: watch your step)
If the car door has a special locking mechaninsm installed,
read the manual first (manual is located in the AS resp. MR).
H Close the hoistway door and make sure it is locked.
