The following types of safety warnings are used in the present manual.
DANGER
The safety warning with the signal word “Danger” is used to indicate a hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
DANGER
Hazardous Voltage from the Phone Line (PSTN line)
Phone lines feature a ringing voltage of up to 150 VAC peak to peak. Contact with the live
parts of a phone circuit during ringing will result in electric shock causing serious injury or
death.
Exercise great care when working on equipment which is connected to a phone line.

Description of The ETMA master module periodically checks that only one ETMA car module is
Features present in the ETMA system.
If more than one ETMA car module is detected, the red LED LINK is turned on.
The ETMA car module periodically checks that the link to the master is working.
If not, the red LED LINK is turned on.
The ETMA master module permanently receives a signal from the elevator controller,
which indicates that emergency power is available for the required minimum interval.
If emergency power is signaled as being unavailable or not sufficiently available, a
message is sent to TACC.
On an ETMA link:
– A red LED turned on means "outstation not connected", "outstation failure" or
"link not synchronized".
– A green LED turned on means "outstation connected" and "link synchronized".
– A blinking green LED means "link communication active".
The ETMA system is fully functional if at the same time:
– Each ETMA module has at least one green LED turned on.
– Each ETMA module has all red LEDs turned off.
The ETMA system diagnostic is based on LED signaling at each interconnection port. Refer
to the graphic below.
A pair of diagnostic LEDs (red and green) is placed inside the ETMA box, near the
respective device connector on the PCBA.
The LED pairs are shown in the graphic below.
The status of the diagnostic LEDs can be verified without opening the (transparent)
ETMA box.
For the interpretation of the LED signaling, refer to chapter "LED Diagnosis".

Manual configuration has to be used if auto-configuration does not work. There are two
ways of doing the manual configuration:
a) On-site configuration with the elevator controller
Refer to EJ 41700380, Commissioning and Diagnostic AC TMA 1 03.00 (ETMA PSTN).
b) Remote configuration via TamSet, performed by Telealarm Call Center personnel
Requires TamSet Version V3.9.5.0
