    MWEB Business Hacked

    1. What technology issues led to the security breach at MWEB?

    Answer: There was really no technological issue regarding this breach I speculate that
    there is some kind of inside job in this scenario because the hackers gained acces
    through the company's Internet Solutions self-service management system which was
    conveniently not yet migrated to the MWEB network that is much secure.

    2. What is the possible business impact of this security breach for


    both MWEB and its customers?

    Answer: for MWEB it will be catastrophic if the hackers actually got their hands on their
    client's data. It would cost them millions paying damages for their 2,390 business
    subscribers who was the first ones to be affected by the security breach what more if
    the rest of their 320,000 subscribers were hacked.

    3. If you were an MWEB customer, would you consider MWEB’s


    response to the security breach to be acceptable? Why or why not?

    Answer: Yes, because they were aware of the security breach and they immediately
    dealt with it afterwards.

    4. What should MWEB do in the future to avoid similar incidents?

    Answer: A given fact is they need to make their security measures and protocols up to
    date, Migrate their systems to their more secure network as soon as possible to prevent
    another security breach like this one, and to monitor their personnel sometimes its not
    the security measures or protocols that failed it can be also an inside job someone
    inside the company who knows the ins and outs, layouts and everything to aid the
    hackers leading to another security breach.
