DIVISION TRAINING-WORKSHOP ON TEST CONSTRUCTION FOR

ASSESSMENT OF LEARNERS FOR SY 2020-2021

1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 31, s. 2020 which emphasizes the integral
function of assessment in evaluating student learning and development amidst the
pandemic, this Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division, will conduct
a Division Training-Workshop on Test Construction for Assessment of Learners
for SY 2020-2021 on March 25-26, 2021 via StreamYard and Google Meet.

2. The training aims to:

a. help teachers understand the functions and characteristics of good

learning assessment tools;
b. provide ways to develop MELC-aligned assessment tools appropriate to
the new normal setting; and
c. assist teachers in crafting standard-compliant test items and table of
specifications.

3. Participants to this training are the Education Program Supervisors, School

Heads, Department Heads and select teacher-writers. Participants must register at
http://bit.ly/TestConst-Reg on or before March 24, 2021.

4. School heads are advised to assign other teachers to handle the classes and
other concerns of the participating teachers who are handling synchronous ODL and
asynchronous ODL and/or MDL classes during the conduct of the training to avoid
disruption of classes in accordance to DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2015.

5. Training link shall be sent to the School Heads through FB messenger on

March 23, 2021 by their respective Learning Area Supervisors.
